Hybrid Opportunity - Must be local to the DC/VA/MD area and available to work onsite when needed.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Operations Research Analyst to join our growing team in support of our federal program.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to impactful, mission-critical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain performance dashboards and program reports.
  • Translate business requirements into meaningful key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Develop clear and interactive data visualizations using tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
  • Support strategic planning, performance measurement, and decision-making initiatives.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify reporting requirements and improve analytical capabilities.
  • Provide support and expertise in assigned domain.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
  • Special projects as needed.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in data analysis, business intelligence, and performance measurement methodologies.
  • Experience developing interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of key performance indicator (KPI) development, performance metrics, and organizational performance management.
  • Experience with data visualization best practices and presenting analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools, with experience working with large and complex datasets.
  • Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and data integration techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in data analysis, performance management, business intelligence, dashboard development, or related analytical disciplines.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting U.S. federal government agencies.
  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification required.
  • Experience developing and maintaining executive-level dashboards, reports, and performance metrics.
  • Experience translating business requirements into meaningful KPIs and analytical reporting solutions.
  • Experience analyzing data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
  • Experience creating data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI or comparable business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience supporting strategic planning, organizational performance management, and data-driven decision-making initiatives.
  • Experience validating data quality and maintaining data governance standards to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to define reporting requirements and improve analytical capabilities.
  • Proven ability to work in fast-paced, client-focused environments.
  • Experience supporting federal programs preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from an accredited college or university with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience; or
  • Master's degree (MA/MS) from an accredited college or university with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience; or
  • A relevant technical certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) with a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a formal degree.

Certification Requirements:

  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification required.

Work Location and Schedule

  • Washington, DC (Hybrid/Remote)
  • Monday – Friday 8AM – 5:30PM EST
  • Work schedules and arrangements (remote/hybrid) may be adjusted based on client and program needs

Compensation

  • The likely salary range for this position is $100K-$145K.

Salary range reflects our commitment to pay equity and transparency. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, certifications, labor qualifications, geographic location and contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
