Role Overview

We are seeking a Training & Adoption Specialist to join our growing team in support of our federal program.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to impactful, mission-critical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute training strategies to support user readiness and adoption of new technologies.
  • Design, create, and maintain training materials, including user guides, quick reference guides, training presentations, and knowledge management resources.
  • Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and/or hybrid training sessions for end users.
  • Assess user needs and tailor training approaches to support successful technology adoption.
  • Support communication efforts and organizational change management activities to enable smooth transitions for deployed solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and business users to ensure training aligns with solution capabilities and operational requirements.
  • Gather user feedback, evaluate training effectiveness, and recommend improvements to training programs and adoption strategies.
  • Monitor user adoption metrics and identify opportunities to enhance user engagement and proficiency.
  • Provide support and expertise in assigned domain.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
  • Special projects as needed.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training development best practices.
  • Experience designing and delivering instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning programs.
  • Proficiency in developing training materials, including user guides, quick reference guides, presentations, job aids, and knowledge management resources.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences and communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
  • Knowledge of organizational change management and technology adoption methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop clear, concise, and audience-focused instructional content.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to assess training needs, evaluate learning outcomes, and recommend continuous improvements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and common learning management systems (LMS).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and end users.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience developing training materials, conducting user training, supporting technology adoption, or implementing organizational change management initiatives.
  • Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) or Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) certification required.
  • Experience developing comprehensive training strategies and user adoption plans for technology implementations.
  • Experience creating instructional materials, including user guides, quick reference guides, presentations, and knowledge management resources.
  • Experience delivering instructor-led, virtual, and hybrid training sessions for diverse user audiences.
  • Experience assessing user readiness, identifying training needs, and tailoring instructional approaches to support successful technology adoption.
  • Experience supporting communication efforts and organizational change initiatives associated with technology deployments.
  • Experience collecting user feedback, measuring training effectiveness, and recommending improvements to training programs and adoption strategies.
  • Proven ability to work in fast-paced, client-focused environments.
  • Experience supporting federal programs preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from an accredited college or university with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience; or
  • Master's degree (MA/MS) from an accredited college or university with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience; or
  • A relevant professional certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Trainer, Associate Professional in Talent Development) with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a formal degree.

Certification Requirements:

  • Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT); or
  • Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) certification

Work Location and Schedule

  • McLean, VA (Hybrid/Remote)
  • Monday – Friday 8AM – 5:30PM EST
  • Work schedules and arrangements (remote/hybrid) may be adjusted based on client and program needs

Compensation

  • The likely salary range for this position is $120k-$160k.

Salary range reflects our commitment to pay equity and transparency. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, certifications, labor qualifications, geographic location and contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
